These guidelines are for IVONNE licensees, authorized partners, clients, and other parties wishing to use IVONNE’s trademarks, trade names, or images in promotional, advertising, instructional, or reference materials, or on their websites, products, labels, or packaging. Use of the IVONNE logo or related trademarks for commercial purposes without prior written consent from IVONNE may constitute trademark infringement and unfair competition in violation of applicable laws. Use of IVONNE trademarks is prohibited unless expressly authorized.
If you are a licensee of a IVONNE trademark or logo and have been provided with specific trademark usage guidelines in your license agreement, please follow those guidelines. If your license agreement does not provide usage guidelines, then follow these guidelines. If you are an authorized partner or member of a IVONNE program, additional restrictions may apply.
IVONNE’s trademarks, trade names, and trade dress are valuable assets. By adhering to these guidelines, you help protect our valuable trademark rights and strengthen our corporate and brand identities. By using a IVONNE trademark, in whole or in part, you acknowledge that IVONNE is the sole owner of the trademark and agree not to interfere with IVONNE’s rights, including challenging IVONNE’s use, registration, or application to register such trademark, alone or in combination with other words, anywhere in the world. You also agree not to harm, misuse, or bring into disrepute any IVONNE trademark. The goodwill derived from using any part of a IVONNE trademark exclusively inures to the benefit of and belongs to IVONNE. Except for the limited right to use as expressly permitted under these guidelines, no other rights of any kind are granted hereunder, by implication or otherwise. Authorized Use of IVONNE Trademarks
- Advertising, Promotional, and Sales Materials: Only IVONNE and its authorized partners may use the IVONNE logo in advertising, promotional, and sales materials. Such authorized parties may use the IVONNE logo only as specified in their agreement with IVONNE and any associated guidelines. Such use must always be in conjunction with the appropriate terms that define the relationship authorized by their contract with IVONNE. For example:

- Authorized Service Provider
- Compatibility: Authorized partners may use IVONNE trademarks in a referential phrase on packaging or promotional/advertising materials to describe that a third-party product or service is compatible with IVONNE products or services, provided they comply with the following requirements:
- The IVONNE trademark is not part of the product or service name.
- The IVONNE trademark is used in a referential phrase such as “compatible with,” “for use with,” or similar.
- The IVONNE trademark appears less prominently than the product or service name.
- The product or service is in fact compatible with, or otherwise works with, the referenced IVONNE product or service.
- The reference to IVONNE does not create a sense of endorsement, sponsorship, or false association with IVONNE.
- The use does not show IVONNE or its products in a false or derogatory light.
- Publications, Seminars, and Conferences: You may use a IVONNE trademark in connection with publications, seminars, or conferences provided you comply with the following requirements:
- The use is referential and less prominent than the rest of the title. Acceptable: XYZ CONFERENCE for IVONNE Service Users.
- The use reflects favorably on both IVONNE and its products or services.
- Your name and logo appear more prominently than the IVONNE trademark on all related materials.
- The IVONNE logo or any other IVONNE-owned graphic symbol, logo, or image does not appear on or in the publication or related materials without express written permission from IVONNE.
- A disclaimer of sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by IVONNE, similar to the following, is included on the publication and all related materials: “(Title) is an independent (publication) and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by IVONNE.”
- A trademark attribution notice is included in the credit section giving notice of IVONNE’s ownership of its trademark(s).
- Websites: Websites that serve as non-commercial electronic informational forums about a IVONNE product or service may use the appropriate IVONNE trademark, provided such use complies with the guidelines set forth in Section 3 above.
Unauthorized Use of IVONNE Trademarks
- Company, Product, or Service Name: You may not use or register, in whole or in part, any IVONNE trademark, including IVONNE-owned graphic symbols, logos, or icons, as or as part of a company name, trade name, product name, or service name except as specifically noted in these guidelines.
- IVONNE Logo and IVONNE-owned Graphic Symbols: You may not use the IVONNE logo or any other IVONNE-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon on or in connection with websites, products, packaging, manuals, promotional/advertising materials, or for any other purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from IVONNE.
- Variations, Takeoffs, or Abbreviations: You may not use a variation, phonetic equivalent, foreign language equivalent, takeoff, or abbreviation of a IVONNE trademark for any purpose.
- Disparaging Manner: You may not use a IVONNE trademark or any other IVONNE-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon in a disparaging manner.
- Endorsement or Sponsorship: You may not use IVONNE trademarks, including IVONNE-owned graphic symbols/logos, or icons, in a manner that would imply IVONNE’s affiliation with or endorsement, sponsorship, or support of a third-party product or service.
- Merchandise Items: You may not manufacture, sell, or give away merchandise items, such as T-shirts and mugs, bearing IVONNE trademarks, including symbols, logos, or icons, except pursuant to an express written trademark license from IVONNE.
- IVONNE’s Trade Dress: You may not imitate the distinctive IVONNE packaging, website design, logos, or typefaces.
- Slogans and Taglines: You may not use or imitate a IVONNE slogan or tagline.
- Domain Names: You may not use an identical or virtually identical IVONNE trademark as a second-level domain name.
Proper Trademark Notice and Attribution
- Distribution Within Canada:
- On product, product documentation, or other communications that will be distributed within Canada, use the appropriate trademark symbol (

) the first time the IVONNE trademark appears in the text of the advertisement, brochure, or other material.
- Include an attribution of IVONNE’s ownership of its trademarks within the credit notice section of your product, product documentation, or other product communication. Example formats:

- Distribution Outside Canada:
- Do not use trademark symbols on products, product documentation, or other product communications that will be distributed outside Canada.
